Overview
When Ferrari launched the California in 2008 it introduced many firsts for the company; it was the first Ferrari to use a dual-clutch transmission, the first front-engine V8 Ferrari, and the first Ferrari with a retractable hardtop roof. Aimed as more of a grand touring car, the California offers a more comfortable driving experience than the other Ferraris. However, with a 453hp 4.3-litre V8 under the bonnet it’s still every bit a sports car the badge would suggest.
